As a leader in the Philadelphia Community, we'd like to invite you to join us for College Signing Day On Wednesday, May 2, 2018. The School District of Philadelphia, in partnership with Temple University, CF Charities and other local organizations and institutions of higher education will host the 4th Annual #ReachHigherPhilly College Signing Day. Confirmed as this year’s keynote speaker is Former First Lady Michelle Obama. Joining Ms. Obama as guests are Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Nick Cannon and more.
The purpose of this program is to celebrate the commitment of high school seniors, from local public, charter, and parochial schools, to pursue a post-secondary education. The event will take place at the Liacouras Center on Temple University’s campus from 10am-1pm.
With an expected attendance of nearly 8,000 college-bound students, parents and family members, the atmosphere at the Liacouras Center is expected to be charged with excitement. The event mirrors a pep-rally with acknowledgement of attending schools, and scholarships, and featured speakers such as Dr. William R. Hite, Jr, Superintendent of Philadelphia Public Schools, Mayor James F. Kenney and of course our former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Events like this aren't free and we are especially grateful for Jordan Brand who has returned as a sponsor for the second year and Comcast a new sponsor for College Signing Day.
